Present: Koberlein, Spitler, Crawford, Kamnick, Arnold, Wegscheid, Denton, Director Karnes.

Guests: Terri Smith, Wayne Moran.

The Library board meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by President Koberlein.

The minutes of the January 12th meeting were read and approved.

The treasurer's and librarian's reports were presented (see attatched).

Motion by Spitler, seconded by Crawford to approve and pay the bills. Motion carried.

Wayne Moran said the St. Elmo Library needs a new license and software updates for the computers to be able to lock them and secure them from viruses. He will get quotes for this on a yearly or multi-year basis. The two children's computers in the children's area are outdated and don't work properly. He will replace these with existing computers and upgrade the power supplies and hard drives.                                                                        

Beecher City Library is still having ongoing internet provider issues. He will look for other options for different providers. Four adults attended the book club this week at Beecher City Library. 

At Brownstown Library a representative from the awning company will come and look at the awning to see if it can be repaired or if a section needs to be replaced. The awning is still under warranty. The St. Elmo Banner will be ordered for the Brownstown Library. 

Director Karnes said an Eagle Scout is looking for a project to do at the library in St. Elmo and ideas were discussed. Catalog class for the librarians is Feb. 16th at Forsyth, IL . She is also looking at a serial class for training the other librarians to scan in magazines. The libraries are still looking for a part-time librarian.  The summer reading program is going to be Reading by Design. Terri Smith is handling the election paperwork.

Motion by Spitler, seconded by Crawford to remove Donna Jo Henry's name from the checking account at the Beecher City Bank. Motion carried.

Motion to add Kamnick to the checking account at 1st State Bank of Dieterich. Motion by Arnold, seconded by Wegscheid. Motion carried.

Motion by Spitler, seconded by Kamnick to adjourn meeting at 8:03 p.m. Motion carried.
